The Process of the Creation
After being cleaned, the jars have the wick centered at the bottom and secured into place. The lid is labelled with the proper stickers to reflect the batch being prepared. The jars can be mass prepared in advance for some busy days of candle making.
Brad uses a white board to track all the candle scents and sizes . Once the batch has been determined, the wax is weighed out and the scent is added. Everything is done by weight to ensure consistency.
After the wax has melted using a double boiler, the scent is added and mixed thoroughly.
Once the wax and scent are combined, the jars are filled, by weight, to ensure the same amount of wax/scent mix is added to each jar.
The wick now has to be centered so the candle will burn evenly once the wax sets.
After leaving the candles to solidify for a few hours, the wax has set and and is ready to have the top .5 inches of the candle can be melted using a heat gun. This ensures there are not air bubbles at the top to ensure a even burn from the first burn. When burning the candle, any other possible air bubbles caught below will be eliminated as the wax melts in advance of the wick.
For wax melts, the melted wax/scent mixtures is poured into silicone moulds and left to solidify.
Once the wax melts are ready, they are popped out and packed 8 per bag.
After the top wax layer has set on the candles, the wick is trimmed, labels added and the lid is added
The candles and wax melts are now ready for orders.
All being done by hand ensuring the best quality product.
