ABOUT TWO BEARS CANDLE CO
Our Story
Being tired of always finding extremely overpriced candles and supporting large corporations, Two Bears Candle Co was founded to provide unique and Canadian-made candles at a reasonable price. The candles are all 100% handcrafted in small batches to ensure the highest of quality candle. The jars the candles are made in were chosen so they can be reused for other purposes around the house after the life of the candle (not safe for food storage). We strive to make unique scented candles that may not be found in abundance by other companies.
Since the company was launched in July 2023, we have grown to attending multiple farmers markets, craft/holiday sales, and online sales. We have started to add new products as our sales have increased. In September 2023, we launched the idea of our seasonal collections with the Autumn and Winter Collections being launched later that month. We have also grown into offering candle car kits, and match packs and are looking into other accessories.
With the support of his family and friends, Brad began to follow the dream of starting his own business. Brad is the owner and the mastermind behind the company while his friends and family are the testers for new scents and items in consideration for addition to the site. Four friends, an amazing sister, and wonderful parents, Brad has the support to help grow Two Bears Candle Co to the point where it is today. There may be some disagreement, or question son his sanity sometimes, but everyone has lent a massive hand, with encouragement, to help the business succeed.
THE STORY BEHIND TWO BEARS CANDLE CO
Right after moving to Alberta, Brad was traveling through Banff National Park with his friend Chloe when they decided to stop for food. In the town of Banff, they explored the shops and found a store closing. The candles in this store were way overpriced for a clearance price and Brad made a joke about being to make better candles for less in more unique scents. After leaving the town of Banff and traveling further through the park, Chloe kept encouraging Brad to follow this idea. As they continued their mini road trip, the idea further developed, and the idea of Two Bears Candle Co was formed.
As for the same, while on this trip, Brad and Chloie were hoping to see a bear of two and the idea of the bears in the mountains was deemed to portray a very natural product. Also, Brad does have a fascination with learning about and respecting bears. The candle in the middle of the two bears on the logo represents the Northern Star. This is a reminder to always look up to admire the beauty this world has to offer from all around. This is a constant reminder to always look forward and keep going no matter how difficult thing can get there is always direction to led you in the right direction.
As we continue to grow, this is important to remember and to remind us of where we began.
